Is it really two months since my stroll around Portobello Market? The seasons have changed from summer to autumn during these last two months and the iced coffee which cooled me down then is now a steaming hot one ready to warm me up!
Green leaves start to turn into sunset maple coloured ones, and our sleeves begin to cover up more of our skin. Some places have special secret charms that reveal themselves depending on the season, but Portobello Market is one of the places that never lose its spark whatever the season.
I love its shine, its colour and especially its fresh produce in spring and summer. I could spend hours going into each of its stalls trying to spot something out of the ordinary, or sometimes I simply grab a coffee, sit outside and enjoy some people-watching fun.
As the days get colder, that festive feeling approaches; it starts feeling even cosier sipping on some mulled wine and shopping for your Christmas presents wrapped up in your winter coat. Imagine all the smiles of your friends and family when they open the presents you bought for them, or the holiday catch-up sessions of gossip and jokes around the dinner table.
But there are still plenty more photos and stories that I haven’t finished uploading from back in September… So for now, come and feel the late summer and early autumn vibe with me in Portobello Market, London.
