HUGO BOSS has been literally everywhere in Hong Kong over the past month – on billboards, on public transport and all over the media too.
The HUGO BOSS-emblazoned Star Ferry really caught my eye; it’s the first time I’ve seen the Star Ferry decked out in chic black with eye-catching white writing across it. The design perfectly fits with HUGO BOSS’s brand identity – simple, sleek and stylish, displayed on the classic Hong Kong icon that is the Star Ferry!
“But what’s the big deal?” you might be wondering. Well, it’s all in honour of the new HUGO BOSS store openings in Hong Kong. On 27 March 2014, they opened their largest flagship store throughout Asia Pacific in Central, plus another store in Tsim Sha Tsui too.
I was honored to be one of the guests at the brand’s statement-making grand opening event for its Central store, which was attended by numerous local and Hollywood celebrities… followed by their amazing after-party at Pier 7, featuring Solange Knowles on the DJ decks!
Black steel grids with LED strips and exquisite fabric wall panels form the striking signature elements of the new store concept. HUGO BOSS’s unflinching design philosophy is reflected clearly: complete contemporary sophistication.
The Central store covers 1031 square metres and stocks BOSS Womenswear and Shoes & Accessories on the ground floor; meanwhile, HUGO Menswear & Womenswear, BOSS Men’s Formalwear, Sportswear, Shoes & Accessories, and BOSS Green can be found on its basement level. It’s not just a shop but a conceptually stunning design space where you get to enjoy a luxury shopping spree as well.
OUTFIT:
Leather jacket, silk monochrome blouse dress – HUGO BOSS
Necklace – Maison Martin Margiela x H&M
Handbag – Chanel

I was also very lucky to learn about HUGO BOSS’s first made-to-measure service in Asia (which is available from 3 April 2014), and also previewed the new BOSS womenswear collection by Jason Wu. Trust me, you don’t want to miss either of those!
Hong Kong is never lacking in cool parties… but that also means it’s hard to impress us Hong Kongers and make us remember what events happened around town for any given month! Yet I can definitely say that HUGO BOSS’s opening night was one of the highlights of my March!
So congratulations to HUGO BOSS, and have a blast shopping at its new stores in Hong Kong!
