The 60s was a generation that broke many fashion traditions and popularised styles like culottes, go-go boots and box-shaped PVC dresses. Mary Quant invented the mini-skirt back then, and Jackie Kennedy introduced the pillbox hat. People focused more on colours and tones, and accessories were less important. Psychedelic prints, batik fabrics, paisley prints, neon colours, and mismatched patterns were the centre of everything!
One of the most trend-setting groups in that fascinating decade were called Mods – coming from the term Modernists, the Mods were where taste met testosterone! London Mods were the most eye-catching crowd, influencing styles from glam rock to Britpop and even rave culture.
